The lifeafterhighschool website exists to help BC Grade 12 students in participating schools
apply for provincial post-secondary programs and for student financial aid. Any
information entered on the lifeafterhighschool website is used only to provide information to help
students make decisions. Students will be directed to provincial websites to
make applications to programs and financial aid, which have their own rules
governing privacy of information.
lifeafterhighschool tracks
visitors to the website in order to help make the program more useful, by
learning about the number of visitors and by monitoring traffic patterns and
for statistical purposes.
Personal Information
Personal information is not sought from users. Users may
voluntarily submit information for the purpose of creating and maintaining an
account to store information to support their post-secondary application
decision. An email address is requested as a username, and the address entered
may be used to send non-personal program messages. Information provided including
the email address/username is not shared with any third parties without the
expressed consent of the individuals involved.
Sections of the web site rely on
"session" cookies to hold current access details. These cookies are
only held in memory while the session is active. As soon as users logout
of the website or close their browser, these cookies expire.
